On September 10, 2016, the Town of Sahuarita and Rancho Sahuarita (in cooperation with Arizona Game and Fish), hosted the annual Fishing Festival event at Sahuarita Lake.
Town residents turned up to enjoy fishing, fun and family entertainment. The day also included the return of the “Whatever Floats Your Boat Competition”, where residents were invited to display their own boats and compete for the title of “King of Sahuarita Lake” and prize money.
